Each day, elected officials at both the state and federal levels make decisions that affect everyone's lives. KAEC encourages you to contact your state and federal legislators about issues that are important to you.
For contact information about your state legislators, click the button provided below. It will take you to the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission's web site. Once you're there, you can search for your state representative or senator by name, district, or county.
For contact information about federal government officials such as the president and your U.S. senators and representatives, click the button provided below. It will take you to the US.gov web site. Go to the Contact Federal Elected Officials area and click on U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives. You can narrow your search after the click through.
Also — it's important that you register to vote. The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) has launched an initiative to enhance voter engagement. A Web site — vote.coop — helps electric cooperative members register to vote and find information about candidates running in their service territory. The goal of the “Co-ops Vote” campaign is to boost voter turnout in areas served by cooperatives by encouraging electric co-op employees and their consumer members to exercise one of their most basic rights—the right to vote.
